No access for Pushchairs
How difficult do you find getting around with your pushchair? It seems to be especially hard if you have a double buggy. There just aren’t any allowances made to make it easy for mums and dads pushing a double buggy to get around shops and onto public transport. Many buses are now described as easy access and it does make it easier. However there is always limited space once you get on the bus and you may have to wait for the next one to come along, or even the one after that. That is if you don’t want to fold your pushchair up and then struggle to keep control of your little ones and all your shopping.
Access to shops is now pretty good for pushchairs and wheelchair users too, as usually there is a ramp or other form of access that doesn’t involve steps. However it isn’t always as easy with a doubly buggy. Older models are often too wide or too long to navigate round stores easily, or sometimes it is practically impossible to even make it into the store if the suitable access isn’t wide enough.
If you have these sorts of problem you should consider a newer pushchair, as many manufacturers are now realising the problems that parents have. So newer models are now often narrower or shorter in their design. The clever designers have managed to do this without compromising child comfort. It is definitely worth considering an upgrade!
